old screenshot of me working on hardware displacement mapping for Light Blade… I now know why developers are opting not to use it… unless you’ve tried implementing this yourself, you cannot imagine how HUGE of a headache it is – basically models must be specifically made for it to work well AND your code has to account for tons of discontinuities problems native to rendering polygonal meshes…
